Cannot Prioritize a Long Task List

Cut a 30-item list down to what truly matters today.

The Problem

Your list is a crammed brain-dump where everything feels urgent. Without ranking, you do easy items for the dopamine and avoid the hard important ones, then wonder why progress feels invisible.

Strategies to Overcome It

  • 1Mark only the top 3 items as "today" and hide the rest.
  • 2Use "impact vs effort" to pick high-impact, manageable tasks.
  • 3Delegate or delete the bottom of the list ruthlessly.
  • 4Ask: "What moves a goal forward?" and do that first.
  • 5Review the list weekly to drop stale items.

Your 2-Minute Action

Take your list, cross off everything except three items, and star the one that matters most. Do that first.
