Focus Tips
Cannot Prioritize the Day
Choose the few tasks that actually matter each morning.
The Problem
Your to-do list has 30 items and they all feel urgent. Without a clear priority, you bounce between easy busywork and whatever screams loudest, ending the day exhausted but having dodged the one task that truly moved the needle.
Strategies to Overcome It
- 1Pick the single "MIT" — Most Important Task — and do it first.
- 2Use the Eisenhower matrix to separate urgent from important.
- 3Limit your daily plan to three outcomes, not thirty activities.
- 4Ask: "If I did only one thing today, which would matter most?"
- 5Review yesterday’s list and carry forward only what still counts.
Your 2-Minute Action
Write down your top three tasks for today in order. Circle number one. That is the only thing you touch until it is done.
